MCRR DUCATI SUPERMONO Reproduction No: 1 of 4, is a custom built DUCATI SUPERMONO, PIEROBON frame lightweight racing bike, sporting a DUCATI MCRR 549 V-MONO balanced Testastretta engine, 64mm elliptic throttle body, MCRR twin shower-top injectors, titanium twin port muffler and a 12,000 RPM rev limiter.

Wheels are magnesium 3 spoke, Brembo 40MM mounted CNC calipers up front, subframe, airbox, intake tubes, fairings and tail piece are all carbon fibre, mostly designed by MCRR. Having a 1/2 wet weight of 140KG with a starter, LI battery and full street wiring, for road bike conversion.

This PROTOTYPE has V-MONO 549cc but all others will be 599cc with reduced weight cases and other components. All SUPERMONOs will have quick shift and traction control with wheel sensors both ends. A dash option for retro tacho and temp, or full digital dash with full road and race features. All four bikes are expected to be completed before Christmas and ready for 2020.

With 2,500Ks of destruction testing on the “MCRR 599 concept MONO” proving reliability, MCRR V-MONO engine development will continue testing other configurations of 630cc 104 X 71.5 (bore stroke) modified crank and titanium rods & testing different weight flywheels and dyno testing, including road and track testing. Full road gear is work in progress.

Of the four bikes, two bikes will remain with the MC Roadrunner collection, although only two might be sold with traditional SUPERMONO red paint scheme, one with BST carbon wheels, radial brakes and a wet clutch. While period parts are in short supply, a totally new MODERN SUPERMONO will be on the drawing board later. While an original numbered DUCATI SUPERMONO could sell for 150K~170K USD (215K~245K AUD) while only being two for sale some time 2020 will dictate $$$ price.
